Today I have an East London couple photography shoot to share with you. I was lucky to meet and photograph Elise and Evan on a beautiful London day. A couple of Americans living and working in the city but are on their way back stateside soon. They wanted to celebrate their love for London, especially East London their stomping ground and their recent engagement.
Many a weekend was spent here in the coffee shops. Strolling around Brick Lane, Columbia Road Flower Market and Victoria Park. They even got engaged here! So we spent one October afternoon in beautiful Autumn light, capturing them in some of the places they love and grabbing a cheeky salt beef bagel along the way. They are fun people to be around and don't take themselves too seriously. I thank them and others who let me into the world for a short time and trusted me in intimate moments.

"My fiancé and I are an American couple who spent the last several months living (and getting engaged!) in London. We decided that before we moved back to the United States, we wanted to do an engagement shoot in our neighbourhood of East London. As a photographer myself, I was immediately drawn to Alex’s portfolio. I love his use of light and the way that his couples/wedding portfolios are always intimate and almost seem to tell a story about the couple. To be honest, I was a little nervous on being on the other side of the camera, but Alex made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable - it felt like we’d known him for years! Alex was able to photograph little moments between the two of us in our favorite area of London. The resulting photographs were completely “us,” beautifully shot and refreshingly candid.
