It was nice to be back at Kew Gardens. It is not only one of the most beautiful gardens in London but also a fantastic place to get married. I photographed Ben and Sarah's amazing wedding at the Orangery some years ago. So I was excited to be back! Tinuke and Able invited me to photograph their intimate Cambridge Cottage ceremony one early spring day last year for their Kew Gardens wedding.
The day started off slightly overcast, but these lively two, their friends and family brought the vibes. Plus, the sun tried its hardest to poke through at times. Bringing some warmth to sweet-smelling fresh foliage pocking its head above the ground. The magnolia flowers were going over but still had enough colourful energy to contrast nicely with the natural tones of the day and the beautiful florals created by The Flower Picker team.
Tinuke is an adventurist spirit who featured as a contestant on BBC One's Survivor. This beautiful energy was brought to the slightly unconventional ceremony, where they had a little dance in the middle. A lovely moment that was so gently directed by the great celebrant Bex.
I am lucky to shoot at beautiful, unique venues like Kew Gardens. Still, more importantly, I get to work with amazing couples and people like these two. Enjoy the photos!
