When you experience something directly you gain a different perspective. Having started my own family I understand and appreciate how people have let me into their lives, open up and allow themselves to be vulnerable. It's an amazing thing and hopefully, it enables us to create sincere and powerful images. As I have said before, some of the work I am most proud of is where I have been invited to document a family over some time.
